My brother-in-law made me a coffee snob. So, he surprised me with this Lavazza Espresso. I honestly thought it would taste like "Welcome Centre" coffee, but it was not bad. Sweet, oily, and quite easy to enjoy. But, it's just one of those things where I would only buy it if there were not many other choices.

Pointless fun fact with name drop, cause I am the main character right now, the cappuccino cup I am using came as a set, that was a gift from retired NBA player Danillo Gallinari. They were two, one fell and broke when I was in Texas. I have it in a box and will super glue it together some day. Also included were two espresso cups that I've never used.

I don't find them to be high quality, but they are definitely not low quality. I wish they came in whole beans, but it is what it is.

Fun fact: During covid, I suffered from paranosmia. As a result, and all coffee smelled and tasted like wrotten fruit.
All coffee, that is, except for Lavazza, which still smelled and tasted like decent coffee.
Lavazza was my saving grace and, they will forever hold a special place in my heart (even if not in my coffeebar).

My wife had parosmia for more than a year after anosmia from covid and she had the same issue with coffee. At the beginning she asked me if I'd started adding garlic to our espressos... 😅 I never did try Lavazza with her, unfortunately.

But just a small correction: anosmia is when you lose your sense of smell. Parosmia is when your sense of smell is distorted. But I think "paranosmia" would be when you can smell ghosts and wear-wolves! 🙃😜
