Is there a word or term for feeling completely repulsed by someone or something simply because of how much they're shoved in your face? (lemmy.dbzer0.com)

Have been feeling this strongly recently. The people with the most signs are the least appealing to support. The food with the most advertisements seems the most likely to be trying to lure people into eating garbage.

Surely there is a word for this? Spam doesn't feel like the right term when it's all over the place all the time. It's like you know it's wrong because there's too much money involved trying to convince everyone it's right.

I know exactly what you mean. Back in college they tried so hard for everyone to join the study association, that any intention I had to join vanished since it felt so shoved down my throat
