Hey everyone !!!…. I hope you have been doing okay

First, thank you to everyone who has been boosting, sharing and commenting on our previous posts. Special thanks to the two comrades who donated recently. Your kindness brought our immediate food goal down from $175 to $128 remaining. We’re so grateful.

Today, we finished the last of the food we had stocked. The three of us in our shelter now have no food left for the coming days. We’re trying to raise the remaining $128 so we can buy basic food for the next week. It’s difficult not knowing where our next meals will come from but we’re still hoping for a little help from this community.

I’m also worried about the eight queer refugees I’ve been trying to support. It’s been almost five days since I last heard from the friends I’ve been communicating with there. I’ve tried messaging and calling on WhatsApp without success. Given what they’ve previously experienced, I’m worried and sincerely hope they’re safe. I don’t have a new update about their situation but I don’t want to stop sharing their story simply because we’ve lost contact for now.

Our existing fundraiser is being used to support both our household in Juba and the sisters in Gorom. The immediate $128 food need is for the three of us here in Juba, while the sisters have ongoing needs of their own. The fundraiser page still needs to be updated to explain this clearly and I’m working on that with the organizer.
