This is gonna piss some people (men) off, I can already tell...

This is an excellent point and I think it demonstrates really well what people mean by "all men"

Even tho I love men as much as the next straight girl...bear for me, please

This is...a much better way of putting it than I did, with this meme. Honestly this whole post was such a mistake. But...thanks for that. I agree with you ❤️

No, the post wasn't a mistake. Things like this need to be talked about, even if we don't agree 100% with how it's phrased. Only through dialogue can new opinions be formed.

And I get why you say stuff... I can't help that it hits the wrong way for me, even though I totally agree with your base point.

You might be one of the most respectable people I've ever argued with (on the internet). I'm glad the comment I replied to was yours ❤️

Thank you, and I appreciate your posts, even though I can't relate to many of them. I get it.

I think the core problem of the meme itself is how simplistic it is. Our society has unfortunately turned everything into a soundbite that's gone in seconds, and it makes discussion difficult to focus on, and also alienates those who either misunderstand or get the wrong message.

And despite what others say, that's not trying to derail the main topic, I think it's part of it.

Memes do have their place, of course. Sometimes you need something short, and when it's relatable to most everyone, it's popular. When it hits nerves, you get reactions in different directions. But I've always said the best serious discussions are in the non-serious forums. Somehow they spark topics while actual serious posts get overlooked.
