Well would it be fair to make the next driver have to come in and sit in that shit seat everyday? Or for the riders to have to smell it? Certain people simply can't do certain jobs. If the gas that bad is her normal, she shouldn't work around other people. Disability or not.

Did the company offer a non-public facing role, or any other kind of accomodations before jumping to firing? From what I see from the article there were complaints by co-workers but no intention on the company's end to remediate the situation without firing her. The company should make sure her and her co-worker feel secure in their work.

Sure, let's say certain people cannot do certain jobs (lots to unpack there, but whatever), but does that mean they have to go hungry and be humiliated because of a medical condition? Because what you seem to imply is that it's justified that someone lost their livelihood because they were presenting a problem to the company and their co-workers, which i'm sure is great for someone who's already struggling with medical issues and won't impede their capacity to find other employment or make their medical situation worse at all.

It's not literal shit. It is smell. Which can be dealt with if our buses were not horrible.

And yeah, maybe this job isn't the best for this person but this is supposedly the instance of people who care about material conditions. If you want this fixed in a way that isn't abelist that means giving this person a way to handle it. Not make a mockery of them like a bunch of bullies on the playground.

Also "this person shouldn't have a job around other people" is honestly a wild thing to jump to here. What is the actual situation? Maybe this person is disabled and not able to get help and doing the best they can. Maybe they are a terrible person. Who knows! All we know is someone was stinky on the bus. How far does this go? Do we put them under house arrest?

All I'm saying is you can't exactly go to your western government of choice to their fuck you... Sorry their "disability" aid departments and say "hey I have a medical problem that makes me stink and no one wants to be around me. Can I get enough benefits to stay home and have a decent life?" At best you get what everyone else does which is barely enough to stay alive. But given that you can't get help when you show up with one of your feet in a bag, I doubt a person with this issue is going to get any aid either.

I'm honestly very tired of this individualistic frame work for everything. Instead of us doing some actual investigation (with actual dignity to those involved cause you never know what someone is going through) and figure out the root cause to how we got to a problem and deal with that. Instead we claim to want to get rid of capitalism and go up against the ruling class, meanwhile we constantly inforce the very things that keep us stuck in this mudpit.

I apologize for being the way I am right now. But I honestly find these type of rag pieces and the pointing and laughing reaction they are supposed to get out of people beyond immature. It's actually dangerous. It's the type of shit that drives people to suicide who might have similar problems. I mean that is what such school yard bullying does. I have no idea how we can live in the day and age we do. Where we know how harmful such behavior can be and still do it as adults
