People keep talking about how it was a supposed Israeli plot, but in all likelihood the resistance really is that good at hiding and strategizing.

I can also really really recommend "What lies is greater". It's an amazing inside view into the resistance leading up to the operation.

That take always annoyed me, it's a very doomer attitude. It implies that the Israeli security apparatus is all knowing and the resistance can only hit back when Israel allows them to.

    That stuff along w, for example, a lot of 9/11 theories, strike us as rly racist. Ppl dont believe arabs might have genuine agency so everything they do has to be orchestrated by white ppl, but u dress that thinking up as "woke" and "anti-imperialist"

    Possibly controversial here but we feel the same way anytime ppl claim a protest movement in a country thats like, slightly closer to China than the US geopolitically or whatever just has to have been a CIA plot too. Like ppl have genuine grievances and theyre gonna express those grievances, they dont need white ppl to tell them to protest

    And the article actually states that the assassination of Mazen al-Fuqaha triggered a crackdown on informants for the occupiers leading to them being very much not in the know as to the movements of Hamas.

    There has been evidence of weird stuff from the occupation though, namely moving the music festival 2 days beforehand. The balanced understanding in this moment would be the resistance was planning something and mossad wanted to do blowback.
