Europe and Asia are the same continental mass but Africa is not. Africa is moving independent to the Eurasian continent and is even slowly producing a new continent at the horn of Africa. So yes, it's true that Europe and Asia are the same continent but Africa is not. It is also slowly moving into Europe. That's why the Alps exist.

    You are of course free to define continent how you want, but I am free to prefer Afroeurasia over a North America that includes parts of Siberia and half of Japan.
