Fundamentally it was just stealing from us to make them rich. Being unreliable is good for us.

We benefited trading with the UK. The US didn't take over to benefit us. Don't act like the Canada/US (or NAFTA) wasn't the worst agreement in Canadian history.

All I see is our value added jobs went south of the border and we have to buy back our materials at a markup. If our materials ever undercut the US market then they're tarriffed.
