yt-dlp version 2026.08.19

redlib is an interface you may use if you want to read content from reddit but without ads, bloat, tracking and java. You cannot post but you can read.

I found some videos I'd like to download but I don't know how.

To download videos from elsewhere I run yt-dlp and that works fine, but pasting the redlib url where the video is posted returns "Unable to download webpage: HTTP Error 429: Too Many Requests"

To get the best quality version, I had to copy the video address from the default reddit site and feed that address to yt-dlp. The alternative is to inspect the redlib page source, get the video link source and give that to yt-dlp.
