I'm going on an EV roadtrip in a week

5 hours of the 22 hours will be charging.

TBF if I had gotten a Hyundai or something (really almost anything else) instead of my Chevy Bolt I'd only spend 1 hour or so charging total. But hey the Bolt was cheap and good for everything but roadtripping. And anyway 2.5hrs driving followed by 1hr charge is a good nap cadence lol

But honestly when you start talking about less than 15 minutes or so for a charge like some cars we do have in US (like most modern Hyundai/Kia), it's largely academic really. After a few hours driving you'll probably want to get up, stretch, use the restroom, grab a drink. By the time you're back to your car it's done anyway.
