Hey comrades :)!!!…I hope things have been treating you gently lately

I wanted to come back with another small update about the eight queer refugees I’ve been telling you about.

It’s been a few days since I first shared their situation and unfortunately, not much has changed for them. They’re still struggling with food , clean water, beddings , shelter and they’re still waiting for their documents.

They reached out to me again because things are still very difficult. I know what it feels like to be in that position, not knowing where your next meal or safe place to sleep is going to come from.

I was able to send them a little money for food from some of the donations we received last month that I had kept aside for future essentials. It wasn’t much but at least they were able to get something to eat for now.

I wish I could do more on my own but I can’t. That’s why I’m continuing to share their story here.

I’m so grateful to the comrades who have already been bumping, sharing and helping get their story seen. Even when we haven’t raised anything yet, those boosts still matter because they help more people find them.

I don’t want these eight people to become another story that everyone sees once and then forgets. They’re here, they’re trying to survive and they need a chance to get somewhere safe and start rebuilding their lives.
