Of course they do, they used to have zero market share, kind of hard not to go up from that when they start exporting.

    But someone *cough* is paying a lot to tell these stories (always without context of course).

    By now I'm used to media in Germany crying for many years about Chinese car makers totally dominating the market while tripling or quadrupling their market share (from nothing to next to nothing, but shush – after years of "record marketshare" month after month some even have something other but a 0 before the decimals) while our poor domestic producers don't even have any models to compete in the first place.

    All while in reality just VW alone –the brand, not the whole group even– has 15%+ marketshare and the top 10 bought EVs are (as per August 2026) produced by: Skoda, BMW, VW, VW, Mercedes, Skoda, Audi, Mercedes, Audi and Citroën.
