Heyy comrades!!! …

I hope you’ve all been doing well. I wanted to come back with a small update about the eight queer refugees I told you about recently.

Unfortunately, things are still very difficult for them. They’re still struggling with food and shelter and they’ve told me they don’t feel safe where they are.

They reached out to me again because they honestly didn’t know who else to turn to.

I know this community has already done so much for us and I don’t take that kindness for granted. But after hearing from them again, I didn’t feel right staying quiet.

I’m going to try to help them find some immediate support while we work out the longer-term needs.

Small note: The main fundraiser is still being updated by our organizer, so the page may still show the previous goal for now. I’m sharing this update separately because these eight people need help now and I didn’t want to wait for the page to be changed before speaking about what they’re going through.
