I mean, shitty tickets are like $300 a piece now. I have more disposable income than the average person in my demographic and I'm not paying that much for 2 hours of entertainment.

That depends entirely on who you're seeing and where. I was just at a show where tickets were around $50.

Sure, but the kinds of bands selling tickets for $50 don't get articles like this written about them. They get a passing mention in some kind of local media.

I saw ben folds five for $20. you just have to know where to look.

In 2006 I saw Dropkick Murphy, The Tossers, The Horror Pops, and a couple of other bands for like $35. That was a good deal.
