It's the opposite situation here. My youngest will watch a kaiju movie with me at the tip of a hat, but rolls his eyes every time we put on a Trek episode 😄 He does so politely and in good humour, but there's no doubt which is his favourite of the two options.

    At least he’ll still watch Trek politely with you. Ours are at the age where shared screen time is very much a negotiation, but it’s nice that there continue to be points of intersection that we enjoy together.

    It’s great to be able to geek out together with your kids.
