It's white. Indistinguishable from a flag of surrender.

Not to mention, the US is a signatory of the Outer Space Treaty, recognizing space as neutral ground and subject to the same legal precedent as maritime law governing international waters.

    I would assume the cloth on the flag has broken down by now. It's been getting blasted by unfiltered solar radiation for almost 60 years. I'm not sure what it was made of, but I wouldn't expect thin cotton or polyester lasting in that environment for 60 years.

    On the other hand, it is not subject to air or wind which means there's no mechanical stress apart from its own weight (which is 1/6 of what it would weigh on Earth), and there's no oxygen to attack the fibers either. I don't know for sure but I feel like it is currently still there, but will extremely fragile and would disintegrate on the slightest touch.
