I was prescribed 7 days of anti-biotics but I probably should have had it extended for a few days as the pain hadn't gone away and the skin was still yellow. That appeared maybe 3 hours after the bite. What I tried to say initially was that my immediate reaction to the bite wasn't disinfection, instead I put on a tourniquet and applied pressure on the dirty bleeding wound permalink fedilink source parent
