Having recently seen the first trilogy among Nolan's works, I wonder what opinions you hold about the movies in general. Seeing that I'm quite late to the party, I expect some strong and mature takes in the comments, but you are still free to voice any opinion you may have.
I prefer the Marvel-type superhero movies where they don't take everything so seriously and pretend that the premise isn't ridiculous. I guess I just wonder "why so serious"?
Batman isn't an interesting character. His flamboyant rouges gallery is essential and I think a gritty/ realistic Batman-villain undercuts that.
