The Soviet Union hasn't existed for quite a while now! The people defending modern day authoritarian Russia are no Communists, or Marxist-leninists. They're Authoritarians. They say they're leftist, but they support the oligarchies oppressing the people. They will frequently say things like saying Russia is leftist, and appealing to the USSR, while not being critical of Russia drafting the people to die in an imperialist invasion of another nation.
