If you eat enough calories in a single sitting, you only need one meal a day. permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 2 child comments replies: [–] wonderingwanderer@sopuli.xyz 8 points 3 days ago (1 child) It's possible, but the spikes and drops in metabolic rates doesn't work for everybody. If you're fit and healthy you can probably handle it, but many people need more steady metabolism throughout the day. Also, your body can only absorb so many nutrients at once. If you try packing all your daily requirements into one meal, you're going to shit a lot of it out. You might absorb all 2000 calories or whatever, but most of the vitamins, proteins, etc. are going to get flushed down your toilet permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 2 child comments replies: [–] Malica@lemmy.zip -2 points 3 days ago (1 child) I eat half a sandwich a day and I'm still kicking permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 2 child comments replies: [–] wonderingwanderer@sopuli.xyz 4 points 2 days ago (3 children) You must have a sedentary lifestyle because that would not be enough if you did manual labor every day permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 6 child comments replies: [–] Axolotl_cpp@feddit.it 5 points 2 days ago It wouldn't be enough even if you use your brain slightly more than what needed to doomscroll all day permalink fedilink source parent [–] Malica@lemmy.zip 1 point 2 days ago Well yes, now that you mention it, I'm a professional doom scroller. When I came home after a school day, I'd discover a full pan of fried potatoes and chow down half of it right at the stove. permalink fedilink source parent [–] Malica@lemmy.zip 1 point 3 days ago You actually don't, but never admit it permalink fedilink source parent
