I have caught the bus into the city recently, a big ol bendy boy, and I was the only one to thank the driver. When did everyone stop thanking the driver?
I say good morning/good afternoon/good evening/hello to everyone I walk past in my local area and generally expect the same in return. Not that everyone does it or that I'm offended when they don't, but most do and it's a social norm in my area.
