All this does is discourage vulnerable women from having children. These numbers do not relate to modern risks of either child birth or war.

But since you brought it up, here are some numbers. Since 1985 we have average 432,000 deaths of people giving birth during childbirth per year worldwide. In that same time, we averaged 113,000 deaths due to armed conflicts per year. 3.8 times more people die in childbirth than armed conflicts.
BTW, I used "armed conflicts" specifically because it is much much higher than "war" because we just don't call them wars anymore, but strictly going by the words in the tweet then it is even more correct since deaths due to war since 1985 to today is only around 20,000 per year on average.
