Pretty sure Hitler's death was international news.
It didn't spread as fast as this one will though. Every timezone will get the news immediately once it breaks anywhere.
and so was 9/11, and Katrina.
both showed incredible, international outpourings of support, generosity, and kindness, and opened the door to a potential better future.
and both opportunities were frittered away on stupidity and arrogance.
Comparing 9/11 or Katrina to the end of WW2 is a tad inaccurate to say the least.
It's also simply untrue - it took much more time for information to travel, and no one was 'celebrating' 9/11 aside from... well, you should know the types.
My thoughts exactly. I will totally celebrate Trump's death, but anyone who thinks its going to change anything for the better in any substantial way is sadly oblivious. In fact it frustrates me that so many people seem to think everything will be fine once Trump dies. Already the seeds of inaction and complacency are sewn.
You don't get it. Without dear leader they fall apart. They don't have anyone to replace him, at least no one their voters care even half as much about as him. The cult will die with him and that is a HUGE opportunity to capitalize on.
Nah bro, I wish, but nah. The damage is done. Don't you see? The cult, Trump, all that was the booster rocket. This shit is in stable orbit now. It doesn't matter what happens to that apparatus anymore.
the problem is that trump has advanced the republican agenda by 300 miles (to use a convenient conversational example), and when he dies, the advance will falter and fall back to maybe 250 miles.
and the fools will celebrate that as a return to normalcy and a victory, ignorant to the 250 miles of advancement they made, secured, and locked down by their complacency.
Everyone wants to feel validated like a hero but with none sacrifice a hero does.
Pure envy drives the masses. It is one of the many poisons in the current iteration of society
