This is the second worst thing to happen during my Lakers fandom. First being Kobe's death. This is worse than watching AD get hurt every year, watching my all time favorite player(Shaq) get traded and win somewhere else. Worse than watching Smush Parker and Kwame Brown, worse than losing to Boston in the finals. Now, either I keep rooting for them and feel guilty about it or just stop watching basketball. This seriously got me fucked up.
I used to like baseball. Im not a massive sports fan, but baseball and basketball are good. This year I havnt watched any baseball. Not sure Im rven a fan of my team anymore, because the right wing grift is all over it.
Ill be really upset basketball gets ruined too.
Yeah, I'm a basketball fan more than a Laker fan but can't imagine supporting bitchass owners with Trump connections. Don't let them take away your memories but honestly it's a changing of the guard with players anyway, maybe a good time for a clean break.
I'm in PDX and we have our own bitchass new owner issues so you're in good company. Personally I hope our new PDX owner walks with the team; our city has people to feed and house and real problems to work through, bailing out a billionaire is low on the list.
