Hello all,
Hubzilla version 11.4 was released recently, now has a new docker image built and should be ready for use.
On a technical note, if your setup involves connection pooling regarding your database, you will need to set
system.pdo_emulate_preparestotruewithin yourhtconfig.php. The 11.4 release of the docker image, has the appropriate line in the htconfig.php commented out, for your convenience; naturally if you edit your htconfig in other ways (CLI, etc) that will still work, as well. Whichever way you choose to deploy your instance, you have options available to you.If you are unsure about connection pooling, techbuzz has a great article on the subject, that you can access via the link at the end of this post.

It's the Fediverse's ultimate Swiss army knife. It can do just about everything.
Heard of Bonfire? Well, what Bonfire tries or promises to do, Hubzilla has been doing production-grade and even exceeding since at least 2015.
Think Facebook, unenshittified, fully capable of long-form blogging with all bells and whistles, with a built-in WebDAV file server, with an event calendar, with groupware (CalDAV and CardDAV server), with a CMS (non-federating long-form articles, planning cards, wikis, webpages) and so forth. Largely modular, so what you don't need, you simply don't turn on.
Optionally connect to the ActivityPub Fediverse (Lemmy, PieFed, Mastodon etc.). Optionally connect to diaspora*. (Remember the crowdfunding hype of 2010 when four students asked for $12,000 to build a free, open-source, decentralised, non-commercial, non-spying "Facebook killer" and got over $200,000? That was diaspora*.) Optionally crosspost to Dreamwidth, Libertree, LiveJournal, WordPress or another XML-RPC blogging platform.
Want privacy and/or security? Hubzilla has one of the Fediverse's most advanced and fine-grained permissions systems whereas most of the Fediverse doesn't have any real permissions at all.
Also, your account (or what amounts to an "account" almost everywhere else in the Fediverse), minus login credentials, can exist on multiple independent servers simultaneously, constantly kept in sync. It's called nomadic identity. One server goes down, you still have everything.

yes, they could do with some polish and better documentation.
Truth be told, this is what happens when devs try to pitch and explain their own work to people. That is, there has been some input from the community, but it can be improved.
Hubzilla has probably got the best documentation of all Fediverse projects, fairly recently re-written from scratch by a user. But the official website doesn't link to it.
yes its a good featureful project but the landing page doesnt convey that, homepage of the project doesnt look serious (compared to say bonfire/misskey etc. where you know exactly what the project is about on their project page), aesthetics matter too eventually. and someone wanting to know more about the project wouldnt know anything beside what the homepage shows, no matter how good documentation has been made by users.
