Marx would encourage you to seize power. In reading about Marx's take on the Luddites today I got the impression that times of automation led by capitalists highlights the antagonism between the Bougie and the Workers in the sense that the introduction of the mill likely indirectly killed 100,000's of people by its implementation. Marx goes on to suggest a socialist mode of automation that scientifically analyses the amount of money needed to compensate a worker made redundant by automation.
In times like these its either take political power or allow yourself to be crushed by unemployment.
He even mentions how when the mill was first introduced, the people burned it down, and they kept burning it down till they learned to blame the capitalists rather than the machines.
