It's like saying, "The best way to defend yourself from a fight is to intentionally provoke others, then let your ass get kicked when it happens."
Whereas getting vaccinated would be, "Learn self-defense beforehand," with masking and social distancing being, "and avoid getting into fights in the first place."
If it were a non mutating virus then getting into one fight would give you life long punch deflection. But COVID changes to rapidly making infection or vaccination only about 6 months of fight free
