    How does them being writers at the same time (friends, even) preclude them getting ideas from each other? They literally hung out together and Asimov considered Clarke the better writer.

    I know they hung out together and it looks like you fooled you. They had a joke that Asimov would say he knew everything and Clarke would say he was the better writer.

    Neither, EVER, accused the other of stealing from each other.
