I like the simplicity if the bamboo software but realy would love a foss firmware for the printer. Ik this isn't strictly Linux related but figured this was the best fit for the discussion. I would get a prusa printer but the cost for multi material just doesn't make economical sense. Is their some 3rd party controller board that integrates well? I run QubesOS with a designated sys-print qube to keep such activities isolated. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I'm a mechanical engineering student and would like to take advantage of my knowledge to engineer myself into a physical advantaged.

And 1 is illegal in America because of section 1201 of the DMCA that makes it illegal to pick a digital lock.
