I see it this way:

if you are a geek and like configuring things, jellyfin is your go to system

If you are casual and just want to watch movies without worrying about technical things, Netflix (and other 1000 streaming services) is your solution

If you already paid for Plex Lifetime usage before they increased the price, good for you!

If you paid for it after they increased the price, I am sorry for you, the 20 minutes I needed to set up Jellyfin really isn't worth what they charge for Plex.

If you work in the Plex marketing department, go touch grass... and I am also sorry for you!

At the moment Plex is a weird middle ground that requires some tinkering and payment and don't even gives you a moral high ground, because you still watch pirated movies with it.

If your not technical, you're probably going to struggle with getting movies and stuff onto plex.

Frankly getting jellyfin setup was nothing compared to a working Arr stack.
