From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Linux is a family of open source Unix-like operating systems based on the Linux kernel, an operating system kernel first released on September 17, 1991 by Linus Torvalds. Linux is typically packaged in a Linux distribution (or distro for short).
Distributions include the Linux kernel and supporting system software and libraries, many of which are provided by the GNU Project. Many Linux distributions use the word "Linux" in their name, but the Free Software Foundation uses the name GNU/Linux to emphasize the importance of GNU software, causing some controversy.

Welcome to lemmy - where nobody cares about you or your question and just wants to yap their opinion, because they feel so smart and morally superior.
I’d say that’s more a feature of Linux communities vs Lemmy imo
lol, im getting the vibe. seems the majority of content is bots reposting articles from other sites and these super-redditors in the comment sections
should have expected as much, im trying to give decentralized social media a chance because i love the concept but matrix is a barren wasteland of empty rooms and lemmy is... this. too bad i dont like the twitter format, i heard bluesky has a nice community.
that's cus you're on lemmy.world which is basically reddit
and yet, i can see communities that arent on lemmy.world and in fact was calling someone who doesnt use lemmy.world a super-redditor... fascinating...
