Actually, I'd say that it's worked out pretty well for Trump:

• He's made billions of dollars
• Most news orgs have stopped talking about him and Epstein
• He's got the authority to give a bunch of handouts to his friends spend a lot more on the military
• He's given the military a lot of practice on foreign operatives, which he can turn around and use on his citizens
