Conservative politics means keep doing the same thing expecting nothing bad will happen. Preferably we should do whatever we did 100 years ago because that was obviously better.
No, that's misinformation. Conservatism is and always has been about preserving and defending social hierarchy. It is only "we should do what they did on the past" by coincidence because what they did in the past was monarchy.
