Is it hard to understand for some people that "influencer" is a job title that actually hides very little of the day to day business they do.
We already had a word for them: "shill."
"Vapid greedhead" would also work.
yeah, but now we have a new word for it, and it's "influencer".
They have already sold out by definition so their fans won't care if they attach their name to capitalist surveillance tech.
I mean, along with being complete sell outs, I think they are also just creepy people as well.
They fit the smart glasses personality.
What I want to know is: if you've got a product that has been market tested and proven for a decade to be creepy, why do you pick a celebrity with a creepy dad to promote it? Are they just trying to own that sliver of market share that doesn't care?
