Why make it obviously edited? Should be using this as opportunity to sway his supporters.
I appreciate the obvious edit. It shows the hypocrisy without being deceptive.
People who are fine with a pedophile Nazi being president are just a tweet away from sanity, you're thinking...?
Because then it would just be misinformation/lying? He legitimately said exactly this, but about Robert Mueller. Being obviously edited is what makes it funny. That's the joke.
His supporters are too far gone to be swayed
Sway his supporters? What dream land are you living in. His supporters would still love him if he raped their children in front of them. There is no swaying.
Just to answer somewhat more seriously, his supporters respect strength and taking power. They believe in inequality as the morally correct belief, and as the emperor Trump can do and say whatever he wants.
Even threads like this would be seen as a net positive propaganda win for Trump and his base. "Yeah that's right, we shit on everybody! Wanna join in?"
Implying this wouldn't still get a lot of them
