That, and also shows how UK is no longer a functional economy in a meaningful sense as it doesn't actually produce much of anything that people living in the UK need. Amusingly, England had a massive crash and went into the dark ages when the Roman empire collapsed for similar reasons. Romans also relied on economies of scale and different provinces were responsible for producing different kinds of goods that were shipped around. Once the empire started to collapse, England was one of the first provinces to be cut off and it rapidly regressed into a barter economy. Looks like the collapse of the burger reich will have a similar effect. History repeating as a farce and all that.
