Spiders cannot even envision you. You're just a huge thing, maybe a wall, to them, not at all part of their universe.

    It appears to recognise the human body structure as biological. But would it discern the various parts when confronted with an actual gigantic human, as opposed to a tiny one on a monitor? That's not clear at all.

    True, but that bleeds into all sorts of messy edge questions and theoreticals. I think it's safe to hypothesize for now through with what's available for anecdotal evidence and observed studies that they do recognize us and potentially some other large animals as some form of living mass/creature and not just a wall.
