Nato leaders have informally agreed not to mention the football World Cup to Donald Trump for fear of irritating the US president at a crucial time for the military alliance.

Imagine all of the Belgium delegation coming in wearing their national team shirts and crowing "rescind this!" at Trump.

While everyone else runs around like headless chickens.

Honestly, that would have been fucking hilarious.
