In the end it can make for a stronger world. The problem is the transition, it will be a time a weakness for everyone. That's what Putin would try to exploit, with the indirect help of China.

That is true for a lot of improvements in pretty much any society.

It takes time and persistent effort to get improvements put in place, and during the transition people often get impatient and bail out before the destination is reached, which can scuttle the whole project.

America is a flawed democracy currently being ruled by oligarchs. Stop the backslide! Dont let America become the next Hungary.

America needs to challenge the court rulings of citizens united v. fec and shelby county v. holder, protect the media, implement independent district drawing, and the single transferable vote so they don't end up having people stay home in life-changing elections because they cannot vote for their favourite candidate.
