I mean, it's still not an invalid example... Let's be real, without the United States's aid Ukraine would likely be a part of Russia right now. And the going theory is that Russia wouldn't have stopped there.
The US government has done a lot of horrible things, but it's also stepped in at key times when the world needed help.

America may very well be fucked up, but it is getting tiring seeing the dogpiles here on Lemmy... Like, get real, there are far worse countries out there that deserve this treatment. America does deserve to be held accountable, but it's far from the worst on the list, and it's constantly, regularly harped on. It's just weird... Like, can we start to spread the hate a bit more so it's not just an anti-american circle jerk here?
