Some CDMX residents have been complaining about Mayor Clara Brugada's efforts to spruce up the city for the fifa world cup events. Among other things she commissioned a bunch of purple axolotl murals. Personally I think they look great:

People said it isn't just the murals it's that she lost her mind and is painting everything purple. Lol cmon it can't be that bad... oof

    I reas the article and they're mad that she's seemingly squandering tax payer money on murals and painting overpasses purple instead of fixing pot holes, which is really something most large cities are guilty of.

    That's fair but of the things I could be having my tax dollars squandered on, this isn't too bad. They do a fairly poor job upkeeping the roads in my area and we don't even keep the fun axolotl murals.
