This is like that SCP Foundation story where it exists in every universe and some Foundations willingly destroy the others to ensure their survival, but none can in the end escape the multidimensional worm.
That sounds like Marvel’s New Avengers convergence plot line, which is the only good story they’ve put out in the past 10 years.
