Yep, I get that. I've ridden double on a motorbike off road, with both of us being reasonably careful, corrected for the standards of the time and my youthful male recklessness. But trusting with your life that every other driver you interact with on every trip isn't going to be like the last one you found sounds like a losing bet if you do it often enough.
