Any recommendations of streaming app for iphone? I use stremio on all my other devices, and currently just have a tab for movie-web.app on my phone, but looking for a better solution. (kbin.social)

Its not an app, but you could use the stremio web server, which would also keep you in sync with your other devices

Just use https://app.strem.io/#/ add to Home Screen. You’ll need to download VLC to be able to play streams.

Any one have experience selfhosting the web server? I couldn't get playback to work.

This makes the most sense. Converted into a webapp also
