Honestly I find their website easier to read and find what I'm looking for. That press release seems like a string of text telling you how long each appliance should last.
I have never cleaned my dishwasher. Why is that necessary? How would I do that?
You really should clean a dishwasher. Debris from plates and dishes, even if partially washed before going in the washer, will accumulate in the filters and grease traps.
Oh I've emptied the catcher filter thing that bits of food are caught in. I figured they were talking about the products you put in your otherwise empty dishwasher and run a wash cycle with, or something along those lines.
Where might I find a grease trap in the dishwasher?
Take a web search for user cleaning of your dishwasher. Ours has a removable filter, but sometimes it needs a "deep clean" by removing the internal panels and cleaning waste water ways.

If it helps, most of the expensive cleaners for washing machines and dishwasher are usually just citric acid.
It’s much cheaper to buy that in bulk.
