The only approach I see is hands out in a "the fuck are you doing, dude" kind of way. Even if the owner ran out yelling, driver's response is over the top. Just keep walking away.

Yeah, audio really is needed to understand the situation.

The owner could have changed his stance after the guy reacted. Because it looked like he was just walking away at first.
