This. If exercise burns 100 calories per day, that is still a major help to losing weight. If someone is eating near their CICO threshold and finds it hard to cut more, that 100 calories down a day from exercise is 700 calories a week and 36,500 calories yearly. That translates to roughly 10lbs or 4.5kg lost.

It's not "lose half your body fat in half a year" sensational, but it tips the scales slightly further to accelerate weight loss.
