This is from the wikipedia article about Michael Harrington, generally considered to be the DSA’s founder. The libs were right: socialism is (apparently) when you commit genocide.

Harrington died in 1989. What's relevant is what the DSA is doing today.

    Ideological struggle is just as important as struggle in the real world. Socialists have tried electoralism many times all over the world during the last century. Are you really going to argue that it’s been more effective for the international working class than revolution?
