It's kind of an outlandish claim in the first place, but if true, it suggests a sophisticated research project, not an attack. What they're describing is gathering data, which is the same shit every AI company does when they scrape the web and whatnot. Since capitalism is built on protecting IPs over research progress, AI companies have had to go with a "build it first, ask permission never and hope you don't get sued" policy.

But according to the Book of White Supremacy, when a white western company does this, it's innovative and building the future. When China does it, it's an attack and it's implied that they have to do this because they don't have the special western mind. Never mind the skill that would go into designing data gathering like this and then applying it to model training. The Book of White Supremacy is very clear that any time a non-white person utilizes anything a white person came up with, it must be because they were incapable of creating it on their own, but any time a white person utilizes anything a non-white person came up with, it was actually the ingenuity of white people somehow and the credit to non-white people is erased.
