The more I look back on it the more I realize 2024 was such an aberration because the Democrats ran such an unpopular candidate. Joe Biden really fucked us over by committing to running for reelection and the Democrats really fucked us by not having a primary regardless.

[-] BarneyPiccolo@lemmy.today 8 points 1 day ago

But the MAGA candidate was BETTER?

JFC, bear with me here, but shouldn't we at least CONSIDER the possibility that the most corrupt person on the planet, with the assistance of the two other most corrupt humans on the planet, who ALL bragged about how they were going to do what it takes to win, and who absolutely HAD to win this election to stay out of prison for life, and has cheated at literally EVERY other thing in life because he considers it his competitive advantage, might have CHEATED?

No, surely Donald Trump wouldn't do that. He's an HONEST MAN.

Dumbass Democrats.

[-] HazardousBanjo@lemmy.world 24 points 1 day ago

Kamala was certainly a shit candidate, and Biden did fuck over the Dems.

That being said, it isn't there fault Americans are so incredibly fucking stupid that they couldn't see the difference between Biden 2.0 and actual literal modern Hitler.

[-] velma@sh.itjust.works 0 points 1 day ago

That was their job - to show the voters the difference between Biden 2.0 and modern Hitler. They didn’t do a good job at all.

And on top of their poor performance, machines were probably fucked with and a host of other ways to fuck with the election because Trump cheats if he can.

[-] ZombieMantis@lemmy.world 2 points 3 hours ago

They're booing you because you're right.

[-] velma@sh.itjust.works 1 points 3 hours ago

Thanks for that lol

[-] QueenHawlSera@sh.itjust.works 4 points 16 hours ago

To this day I don't understand why they didn't run ads blaming Trump for Covid

[-] architect 2 points 1 day ago

Trump and musk both, multiple times, stated they stole that election.

You know it’s one thing to ignore random people saying it, but Trump and musk said it multiple times and nothing was looked into.

This is why some of us think you’re all sick in the head. That you can listen to that multiple times, ignore it, and then continue on blaming bogeymen.

[-] velma@sh.itjust.works 5 points 1 day ago

And on top of their poor performance, machines were probably fucked with and a host of other ways to fuck with the election because Trump cheats if he can.

Am I ignoring it?

[-] HazardousBanjo@lemmy.world -1 points 23 hours ago

My dude, I'ma need you to stop and reflect on how incredibly fucking stupid that statement you just made is.

Do you also need a lesson on the difference between a house cat and a rabid lion?

Need a lesson on the difference between safety scissors and a chainsaw?

How about a lesson on the difference between a sparkler and a fucking nuke?

The DNC isn't responsible to making people not incredible fucking morons. I don't see how people could possibly advocate for systems that demand the working class to take control, yet never look critically at nor place any responsibility on the working class.

Sorry, but that was a problem placed squarily on the common dipshit voter, not the DNC.

And on top of their poor performance,

How about the poor performance to turn out? We lost millions of boomers and Gen X from Covid and other natural causes, yet they still far out showed any younger generation in 2024, yet again?

machines were probably fucked

Wouldn't matter if it was too big to rig.

with and a host of other ways to fuck with the election because Trump cheats if he can.

Probably why young people shouldn't sit on their asses and actually challenge the obvious Hitler before them.

[-] velma@sh.itjust.works 0 points 3 hours ago

Yeah man, telling people they're fucking morons is a great way to get them to vote for you.

[-] tacoplease@lemmy.world 0 points 16 hours ago

No, misogyny and racism lost you the race.

The American people stared into the abyss of Trump 45, looked away and saw a black/Asian woman and decided for the abyss anyway.

Even the ones who didn't vote chose the abyss because they didn't get over their misogyny and racism to give a damn to vote for their best interest.

[-] ZombieMantis@lemmy.world 1 points 3 hours ago

It's possible she may have inches pass the finish line if she had a penis, but it should have been a landslide either way. That's a failure, and the fault lies with the Democratic Party and their leadership.

[-] QueenHawlSera@sh.itjust.works 3 points 16 hours ago

If Kamala was a man, he'd be the second black president right now.

[-] Wataba@sh.itjust.works 14 points 1 day ago

The choices were raging bigot that was exposed as a pedophile and backed by the scum that the Nazis took note from, or not all that.

People who let the former happen through inaction are just as responsible as the mouth-frothing ingrains that go feral anytime you mention 'woke'.

'Bad candidate' is a fucking empty excuse.

[-] cattywampas@lemmy.world 3 points 1 day ago

It's not an excuse, it's a reason. And a very big one. I'm not trying to give anybody a pass.

[-] architect 2 points 1 day ago

There’s not a worse candidate than fucking Trump. If he “won” then we need to have another discussion. Millions of us no longer want to live with these people.

I’m not opposed to the idea of Cascadia. But it would be a hard fought battle to do so.

Who is more foolish, the fool, or the fool who follows?
